Free World U is a 501(c)3 organization. In order to qualify as a publicly supported nonprofit entity, one third of the donations from an individual for a year need to be smaller than 2% of the entire yearly donations. For example, let's assume that all the donations for a year comprise $1000. In that case, one third or more of the donations should be less than $20. When a donation exceeds 2%, it is considered by the Internal Revenue Service as a disqualified donation. At the present time we are finding that large donations are easy but small donations difficult. We need to solicit donations in the area of $15 at the present time. As our number of donors increases, this will no longer be an issue. Donors will receive a receipt indicating a tax deductible gift.
